A New Fundraising challenge!
They’ve peeled off their leathers, marshalled the Minis and now, members of Phoenix Bike Club are getting back in the saddle for what is going to be their newest and biggest fundraising challenge yet!
Seven of the North Devon club will cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats and back! In doing so, they hope to raise £30,000 to be split equally between the North Devon Hospice, Cancer Research (testicular cancer) and biking charity, Riders for Health.
And Mr Jones said that everyone making a donation would get the chance to win something back.
“Every donor will be asked to guess the collective total mileage of all seven bikes during the course of the event,” he said.
“The nearest estimates will win prizes which have been kindly donated by our sponsors and bike club members.”
Prizes available to date include a week’s accommodation in a Spanish apartment, an hotel break on the Gower Peninsular, a 4×4 off-road day, clay pigeon shoot, archery lessons, and a DVD player.
